We decided to expand the breadth and scope of what we offer at the Vocode Project to include interesting mixes that have touched a nerve, stuck a chord or just plain wont leave the head phones. This is one of them - put together by Texas luminary Coy West from Austin, Texas; its a brilliant snapshot of creativity in the artform of mixing. Normally known for his house music production, DJ Sets and events throughout Texas, Coy took the time to not only mix, but re-edit, remix, chop tracks and sprinkle the entire thing with select political commentary from the 2002 arena in American politics. Ranging from straight funk, hip hop, dubbed out house, wierd electro grooves - this mix moves you from beginning to end and drips with the funk juice. Highly recommended to even those of you who only listen to electro ;) - this mix is the fucking business. Enjoy
