The Vocode Project Presents:
DJ Steve Marx - Spring 2006 Mix
Offline :: I've been a fan of London's DJ Steve Marx for several years now - every mix he offers up for auraul stimulation does the trick, and his Spring 2006 mix is no exception. With all the fanfare and hype of electro house, microhouse, minimal and whatever flavour-du-jour, it's easy to forget that there are still brilliant records being produced from the progressive side of the house.
Progressive became a dirty word during the early 2000's, but sometimes when a scene falls out of favor and retreats back to studios and intimate clubs is when the music itself experiences a renaissance. This mix by Steve is an example of this - beautiful deep, techy progressive house records, seemlessly blended together - each one builds on the other, with subtle melodies and nuances of futuresoul - kudos to Mr. Marx for putting this together, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
