the vocode project came out of the electro showcase showdown, which was originally conceived to be a monthly netcast focusing on the sounds of electro music. the response was such that the idea of the vocode project took hold: a site strictly dedicated to the soundscapes of the global electro scene: past, present and future. 

some of the most forward thinking music around today, electro encompasses everything from the pure energy bass stylings of miami, to the high tempo raw techno-bass of Detroit, to the minimalist soundscapes of berlin, frankfurt, and munich, and everywhere else in between. 

vocode is aimed at exposing the sounds of this movement through original dj mixes, the electro showcase showdown show, our newly minted vocode recommends section as well as original productions and links to various electro resources worldwide. we've also expanded to feature and showcase other forms of electronic music that tickle our kopfnikken bone.
