After years of runnin' tings in central Texas with the 626 Soul crew, Austin DJ Coy West (whom we've featured a few years ago here at Vocode) took an extended break from dance music. Resurfacing this year at a gig in Dallas Texas, playing along side Dallas' own Red Eye and chi-town legend Derrick Carter, Coy returned to form and brought his brand of chunky funky ass house grooves for the heads. Never one to miss out on a good party, Vocode's own Mad Wax hauled ass down to Dallas for the weekend, joined by long time Texas partner in crime English Dave for a night of mad beats, plenty of liquor and dancing. Fortunately for us, this set was captured from the dj booth itself, and we're happy to share it with you! Enjoy!
